Queridos Amigos,

My visit to Honduras is almost over and I am reminded of the sacred Scriptures that tell us that the harvest is ready but the laborers are few. There is so much to do in Honduras! I need more time, more money and more blessings. Ironically, it is only the “blessings” I can count on. The LORD has moved supernaturally on this trip and in La Ceiba I think my role is going to be in the area of teaching and instruction of village Pastors; a project I am putting together for the single mothers to help them earn a living and help the Pastor’s wives with teachings, encouragement and tools. Yet the focus is to expand the Kingdom and to cover Honduras with new churches.

Village Pastors:

HERALD OF FAITH continues to teach Pastors and Church leaders

I will continue to serve as a Translator to Pastors giving seminar

I will also do some teachings of my own

Though KAM (Kingdom Advance Ministries), in Spanish MAR, we will offer specific instruction to help them with church expansion. I need to translate three manuals before I return to establish this program.

Establishment of a curriculum that will prepare church leaders in the five-fold ministry to equip them to plant new churches. I already have a five-year program and the Pastors are interested.

Through CEPUDO I can help the Pastors with different social welfare projects in their different communities: food, medicine, farm animals, seed, etc. and teachings in agronomy and horticulture.

I will represent CEPUDO in the United States. We also have the assistance of international non-profit organizations and of the Honduran government.

Pastor’s Wives:

I need to buy 8 Bibles for the Pastor’s wives but I am out of money. This is a special Bible that will help them teach.

I need to bring teaching and instruction just for them

They also need encouragement since the Pastors tends to do EVERYTHING and usually their secular jobs are rough, physical and under the hot sun.

Single Mothers:

Teach them crafts they can do at home so they can stay at home and take care of the children while earning a living. This way the children are not left unsupervised and prey to the gangs.

Establish a “Scholarship Fund” to help these children go to school. They can attend public schools but many do not go to school because they cannot afford the shoes, uniforms and school supplies. There are small financial contributions to make during the school year for various school activities and these expenses also need to be covered.

I am making the necessary arrangements for these women to receive instructions regarding how to make various crafts and to become members of the Association of Artisans, where they will receive instruction and assistance.

Start a “Micro-Business” where they all can work as a unit under the leadership of the Pastor’s wife. 100% of the procedures would go to them.

These women lack the initiative or know-how to market their craft and would need assistance in this area. Once I return to USA I will contact an international organization that collects the crafts from villages all over the world and advertises on a catalog. This is a non-profit organization and all revenue would go to the women in the village.

I also believe these women would need a “Support Group” to discuss and receive assistance with the different issues they all face as single mothers. I believe through government contacts I could involve a Social Worker to help them.

Please pray that the LORD will guide me so I remain focused with my main goal to expand the Kingdom! The work is overwhelming but the JOY (Jesus), oh, the JOY is indescribable!

Love, Prayers and Blessings,

Cynthia

We had an enthusiastic finish in East Gadavar. The school grew to 132 pastors. I had strength for the whole week and the audience never faded on me. We brought Steve in via Skype and it worked very well the second day. We are planning to give regular teaching about once a month. We also dedicated my commentary on Luke in the Telegu language, and gave each of them a copy.

Some pastors travel up to 2 hours in order to get to the venue.

Thank you for your prayers. Now I have 2 shorter schools next week in Vinukonda and Nellore before heading back to Chennai and home.

Yesterday they lost power for about an hour, but switched over to something they had on site. Vijay says that can power the projector and computer as well.

I felt like I struggled in the village last night, and it leaves me really zonked this morning. I slept all right, but still haven’t had a solid night’s sleep. On Friday night we will be in Narsapur, but we won’t have a meeting. That means I might get an opportunity to rest, but I’m not holding my breath. But then, God’s strength is made perfect in weakness!

Our teaching started with some excitement today when a pastor had an epileptic attack. He was brought to the hospital and they tell me he is resting at home now. We have 102 people registered, about 80 pastors and the others are “Bible women”. They are alert and responsive. I have been teaching on the integration of new believers into the church.

Last night we had a meeting with 8 “first time” converts. There were 32 who left their names in all. The others were people strengthening their commitment to Christ. It was a small meeting in a village with about 50 people inside the church.

I am happy for your prayers. This is the second school (and the longest) of the trip, and I still have 2 more. I’m glad Joel will be coming at the end of the week to help along in the other places. I have been alone, but we are hoping to Skype Steve in on Wednesday and Thursday.

Finished nicely. There was a group of men singing with enthusiastic joy. It was fun.
We dedicated the book on Luke and distributed it. The number had risen to 132, so we were a few books short. We will probably do a Skype teaching once a month, possibly the first Monday in the evening.I’m in Narsapur now. I just gave a short talk to the children and some women who fast and pray on Fridays. (They fed them after my talk). The children greeted me happily with flowers and a garland.

We will meet up with Joel in Vijawada on Saturday night and stay there overnight before hiring a car to take us to Vinukonda.

I’m relieved to have the week finished. An old man testified about my standing and teaching for 5 hours every day and wondering how I could do it. I told the audience that good listeners make it easy to teach. This old guy had been in 3 seminars before (his only training) but he realized that they had fallen short on teaching. The audience here never faded on me.

I’m on the train going to Vijawada to meet up with Joel.
There were 13 1st time commitments on Thursday night.
I spent a restful day at the orphanage. Taught the children how to sing “Head shoulders knees and toes.”

Look for another update from Winston soon.
