Reverend Steve Fitzpatrick: Pastor, Evangelist and Teacher, is currently the President of Herald of Faith. He and his wife Kathy have three children, one daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. Steve’s list of experiences over his 42 years in ministry include; Youth Pastor, Evangelist, Assistant Pastor at three different churches, a Senior Pastor, and Dean of three Bible Colleges. Steve has both a Bachelor of Theology and Masters of Divinity from Azusa Pacific University’s Haggard School of Theology. During his travels he has trained and equipped pastors and leaders on six continents while visiting over forty countries.
Winston is currently the Chairman of the Board for Herald of Faith. He served as the President for 25 years, turning over that position in 2008. Winston grew up in Evanston, Illinois, but had lived in Sweden, Central Illinois, South Texas, Minnesota, and now in Wisconsin. He married Ingrid in 1969. He currently has 4 children and 8 grandchildren. He is fluent in 3 languages and can converse in two others. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign – English, 1961 – 1965, from Northern Illinois University – Education, 1966 – 1968, and from Vision Christian University – Intl Christian Relations, 1995 – 1998.
MIKE KOESTER – Board Member
Mike Koester is a manager and is involved in Global Product Support for a major technology firm located in San Diego. He brings skills in managing organizational growth and achieving profitability targets. He also brings years of service in the Kingdom of God and a real gift of wisdom to our Board. He is married, has two kids who are also married and one grandchild.
KARL MATTSSON-BOZE – Board Member
Karl Mattsson-Boze brings a diversity of international business experience to the board. With a Chemical Engineering degree and an MBA, Karl has worked in multiple industries and has lived and worked in both Europe and South East Asia. He also serves his local church on their Adult Christian Education committee.
MYLES VANDERGRIFT – Board Member
Myles Vandegrift grew up in the small town of Ojai, California, skateboarding and surfing. He is a Point Loma Nazarene University graduate with a BA in Biology, Teaching Credential in Life Science, and MA of Teaching and Learning. He has been teaching 7th and 8th grade science for the past 21 years, recognized as a Blue Ribbon School, California Distinguished School (2x), and a Schools To Watch. In addition to teaching science, he has coached his school’s Skateboard and Science Olympiad Teams for the last 15 years. He has two children with his wife Stella, who is a graphic designer. When he is not teaching science, he can be found hiking, rock climbing, surfing, skateboarding, and traveling the globe with his family or just jumping on the trampoline with his kids.
MIGUEL & DEBBIE RIVERA – Staff
Miguel and Debbie trained at YWAM in 2000. They began to Pastor a church in Tijuana, Mexico in 2004. For over 10 years they pastored La Peña until 2014. Miguel has served on the board for “Love in Action Partners Inc” for the past 10 years. Recently God has been opening miraculous doors as they travel, teaching and preaching especially in Marriage Seminars. Debbie has a heart to see women restored and healed which comes through in her ministry. Their greatest passion though is to see their girls, Michelle 12 and Sophia 7, grow and enjoy life. The Rivera’s currently live in San Diego – awaiting their next adventure!
